Palestine Islamic Bank receives the 2023 best Islamic bank in Palestine award

Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) received the 2023 “Best Islamic Bank in Palestine” award by the International Union of Arab Bankers and its magazine The Banking Executive.

The award was announced during the 2023 Banking Excellence and Achievement Awards ceremony, which was held in Istanbul and attended by Arab bankers, representatives of regulatory institutions, and Turkish, regional and international figures.

The General Manager of PIB, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi said: “PIB is proud to receive many annual nominations by well-known regional and international institutions and magazines. This is attributed to our achievements in various Islamic banking aspects, which contribute to our distinguished services and promote Islamic finance in Palestine.”

Al-Sadi added that PIB continued to thrive in 2023, as it launched many campaigns, services and products to provide state-of-the-art Islamic banking and meet the aspirations of its customers. For example, PIB launched new cards, improved its electronic services, and debuted the latest check deposit services in Palestine. PIB also enhanced its contributions to sustainable social responsibility by supporting tens of institutions since the beginning of the year, mainly in the health and education sectors, which are essential for sustainable development.

Al-Sadi concluded: “In light of the current difficult circumstances, such results are attributed to the Board of Directors and its committees for best practices, good governance, institutional excellence and risk management. PIB’s employees are also making tremendous efforts in various branches and departments, under the supervision of the Sharia Supervisory Board, which maintains PIB’s compliance with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia.”
