The Ministry of Health honors PIB’s continuous support to the Central Blood Bank

The Ministry of Health honored Palestine Islamic Bank for its continuous support for blood transfusion services, as part of the Bank’s Sustainable Social Responsibility Program.

The honoring ceremony was held by the Ministry at the Red Crescent Guesthouse, in Al-Bireh. The ceremony celebrated the World Blood Donor Day in the attendance of H.E. Dr. Mai al-Kaila, Minister of Health, H.E. Dr. Laila Ghannam, Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, and H.E. General Ziad Hab al-Reeh, Minister of Interior. PIB was represented by Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, PIB General Manager, and Wafaa Odeh, Human Resources Manager. The ceremony was also attended by many officials and representatives of supporting companies.

Al-Sadi expressed the Bank’s pride in receiving this honor and in the strategic partnership with the Palestinian health sector, while noting that such cooperation falls within the Bank’s efforts to support sustainable development.

He added: “A large share of our contributions in the field of social responsibility is allocated in favor of the health sector, namely since this sector is vital and essential to the achievement of sustainable development. In fact, such support would enable health establishments to grow and keep offering their services.”

Furthermore, Al-Sadi praised the efforts and various achievements of the Central Blood Bank. He stressed that these efforts ensure the availability of sufficient and safe supply of different blood types, thus playing an essential role in saving the lives of our citizens.
