PIB supports many Ramadan Soup Kitchens
Palestine Islamic Bank offered its support to a number of Ramadan Soup Kitchens (Takaya) in the governorates of Hebron, Ramallah, and Jericho. Aiming to support their relief activities during Ramadan, such action would foster the kitchens’ efforts in offering meals to the needy.
Support was offered to the Abrahamic Soup Kitchen in Hebron, Petunia Charity Soup Kitchen in Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, and the Sahabi Nusaybah of Al Mazenia Soup Kitchen in Jericho.
Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, PIB General Manager, stated that this contribution is part of the relief efforts of the Bank with respect to its Sustainable Social Responsibility Program. He also noted that the Bank’s support during Ramadan is not only limited to soup kitchens, but has encompassed many associations caring for individuals with special needs, the elderly, and marginalized community segments as well.
Al-Sadi further reiterated the importance of the establishments and sectors’ consolidation of efforts for supporting and fostering our People’s resilience. He expressed his gratitude for the supervisors of the Soup Kitchens that have an essential role in helping the needy in line with Sharia principles calling for social solidarity.
