PIB organizes a seminar to raise awareness of Islamic financing and banking services in cooperation with the Palestinian Businessmen Forum in Hebron
As part of its efforts to raise awareness of banking services in general and Islamic banking in particular, the Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) organized an awareness raising seminar on Islamic financing formulas and banking services in cooperation with the Palestinian Businessmen Forum in Hebron.
The seminar was attended by the President of the Palestinian Businessmen Forum, Amer Al-Aseeli and many members of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Businessmen Forum in Hebron. Representing PIB, the Assistant Director General for Branches, Zayed Shukair, a member of the Sharia Supervisory Board, Dr. Ayman Jweleis, the Director of the Southern District, Nizar Bali, and a number of department and branch managers took part in the seminar.
At the beginning of the seminar, Shukair welcomed all participants and stressed the bank’s constant efforts to raise awareness of Islamic banking in the society, especially among businessmen who are the backbone of the Palestinian economy. He thanked the Palestinian Businessmen Forum for hosting the seminar and for its commitment to strengthening partnerships with various sectors, especially the banking sector.
During the seminar, a member of the Shariah Supervisory Board of the Bank, Dr. Ayman Jweleis presented Islamic financing formulas and Shariah controls for Islamic transactions.
The Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Ibrahim Salman, presented PIB’s Sharia-compliant electronic services, the World Mastercard and Platinum Mastercard, and the services and privileges provided to clients. He also introduced other prominent products and services.
During the seminar, PIB’s representatives responded to a number of questions by the participants on Islamic banking in general, and the bank’s services and products. They explained the role played by the bank in supporting the implementation of the sustainable development goals.
PIB organizes regular meetings and seminars as part of its efforts to raise awareness of Islamic banking and banking services in general. This aims at clarifying these various concepts to the public and promoting financial inclusion in Palestine.
