Palestine Islamic Bank Provide Support and Volunteering Efforts for the Ramadan “Takaya” in Nablus and Gaza

Among the campaign launched during this Ramadan, Palestine Islamic Bank is conducting several activities and initiatives that can help reduce the burden of the hard conditions our people in Gaza are living through, such conditions got the Bank to redirect the money allocated for organizing various activities during the holy month in order to provide the needs of families who suffer from deep poverty, in addition to that, the bank have provided support to different projects and programs all over the West Bank.

PIB provided financial support to fund group Iftars that over 2050 family benefited from at the governorate of Rafah, through cooperating with “Ibn Baz Charity” within a project called “Charitable Kitchen”, the first Iftar was held on the 7th of Ramadan while the second Iftar is expected to take place on the 14th of Ramadan, not to mention the various activities dedicated to our people in Gaza during the holy month in cooperation with local organizations to present purchase vouchers and food packages and other in a kind gesture that reflects the bank's commitment to its community and a duty needed to reduce the pain of its people.

Ms. Doha Al Wazany – Public Relations Manager at Palestine Islamic Bank said that these initiative comes within the frame of social responsibility the Bank carry towards our country and its citizens, noting that the bank have put together an integrated program based on two main pillars: providing financial support and encourage volunteering spirit among staff members.

Al Wazany pointed to several activities that were implemented so far within the work at “Ramadan Takaya”, PIB funded days of Iftar to provide meals for fasting people and the bank’s staff volunteered in these activities, where they filled and packaged hundreds of meals and distributed to those in need, with the aim to have community participation aid the efforts made to cover the needs and facilitate their fasting and provide appropriate Iftar for them.

Al Wazany added that the social responsibility program for this year wanted to mainly focus on the Gaza Strip, which comes in line with the Bank's policy to support relief efforts in emergency situations such as what is experienced by our people in Gaza, pointing that the Bank seeks to make its efforts have a positive impact on the path of achieving sustainable development.
