Palestine Islamic Bank contributes to PMA’s Annual Youth Banking Week
Palestine Islamic Bank contributes actively to the 6th edition of Youth Banking Week, an annual event organized and orchestrated by Palestine Monetary Authority. The event inaugurated on Sunday and will run through 15/3/2018 aiming at giving essential education for students at a young age on the basics of banking activities.
Bayan Qasem, PIB’s GM asserted on the importance of brining essential banking information to young students at a very early stage of their life. “It is key to contribute to the formation of understanding of our future work force on their financial information which contributes to the implementation of the financial inclusion strategy the PMA is promoting.” He added “we also believe this is an ideal platform to establish a healthy relationship between the bank and future investor based on understanding and confidence.”
The bank allocated the last hour of its operating hours to receive young visitors with their guardians, who will be introduced to all banking services and all their inquiries shall be answered. Additionally, the bank is taking part in the Exhibition that allows students to listen actively to the various products and services offered by banks and financing agencies under one roof in both Gaza and Bethlehem.
“PIB has a major contribution to the activities of this week. We’ve launched a competition on the website on this occasion and also will hold a special lucky draw on this occasion, honoring those who opened saving accounts or topped up their existing accounts during the banking week, while celebrating the National Saving Day launched a year ago by the PMA.”
Qasem concluded his address by sending special gratitude to PMA’s Governor Mr. Azzam Shawwa and all PMA staff for the great efforts exerted to bring this event to success. He also sent his appreciation for the Ministry of Education and its directorates in addition to UNRWA for their efforts in making this event a standing activity.
