PIB Launches a Payment Service through the Smart Payment Ring and Bracelet

Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) launched a payment service through the smart payment ring and bracelet as part of its strategy for digital transformation and electronic payment solutions.

This digital service allows PIB customers to make contactless digital payments using a smart payment ring or bracelet without the need to use traditional payment methods or even carry a bank card.

PIB General Manager, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, said that this new digital service aims to encourage customers to opt for electronic payment solutions. It also comes as part of the bank's efforts to enhance customer banking experience and meet customers’ expectations, especially the youth, amid constantly changing and developing digital services.

Al-Sadi added: "We are keen to keep pace with technological development and the great revolution in the world of payments and banking services, and we have recently launched many digital services to satisfy our customers and enable them to enjoy banking services quickly and around the clock. As part of these efforts, we have modernized our ATM network and launched the instant deposit service for checks, deposit card and instant payment system, and we continue to prepare for the launch of more digital services very soon."

Al-Sadi stressed that PIB’s continuous achievements and the launching of distinguished services and products periodically despite circumstances and challenges would not have been possible without the guidance of the Board of Directors and the strategic plans and efficient implementation at all administrative levels in the bank, under the supervision of the Sharia Supervisory Board, which ensures compliance of PIB’s business with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia.
