PIB and the Ministry of Local Government Discuss Joint Cooperation
Dr. Sami Hijjawi, Minister of Local Government, hosted Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, PIB General Manager. The meeting, held at the Ministry’s premises in Ramallah, discussed means to promote joint cooperation between both parties.
Dr. Sami Hijjawi welcomed PIB’s General Manager and his delegation. He stressed upon the importance of promoting cooperation between the public and private sector as such collaboration would contribute to driving comprehensive development and enhancing the quality of services offered to citizens.
From his end, Al-Sadi underlined the role of the Ministry and local entities within the framework of developing and enhancing the resilience of citizens. He extended wishes of luck and success to the Minister and the Ministry’s staff in their endeavors toward achieving the plans and objectives they aspire towards.
Al-Sadi mentioned that Palestine Islamic Bank is keen on fostering cooperation with multiple sectors, namely the government sector. He noted that such collaboration would contribute to instilling sustainable and comprehensive development, promote active community engagement, and overcome obstacles faced by our people and establishments in the Country’s governorates.
Al-Sadi stated: “At PIB, our strategy is based on contributing to development via our annual Social Responsibility Program, encompassing an array of development projects and contributions executed through many partnerships, namely those established with the local government sector. Our efforts also seek executing many other projects within the sectors of health, education, and individuals with special needs.”
The meeting was attended by Asem Masri, PIB Assistant General Manager for Planning and Development, and Sayel Hanun, Director of Public Relations and Media at the Ministry of Local Government.
