PIB provides support to 10 charities and development organizations

The Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) provided support to 10 charities and development organizations in different governorates, as part of its sustainable social responsibility program.

PIB provided a range of supplies needed by the beneficiary organizations to continue providing their services. These organizations cover various fields, including caring for orphans, supporting people with special needs, empowering women and health education. They also provide various community services.

The support provided by PIB included the Palestinian Society for Care and Development, the Society of Inash Al Usra and the Union for Palestinian Women in Ramallah and Al-Bireh, the Seida Islamic Charity and the Arab Society for Orphans in Tulkarem, the Orphan Care Society in Jenin, and the Qalqilia Rehabilitation Association in Qalqilya.

In Hebron, PIB provided support to the Palestinian Child Arts Center and the Islamic Charitable Association in Beit Ula, as well as the Natuf for Environment and Community Development in Gaza.

The Bank’s General Manager, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, said that PIB, through its sustainable social responsibility program, provides annual support to dozens of organizations, especially in the health and education sectors, as they are vital and essential for achieving sustainable development. He noted that this support also covers a number of other sectors such as charities and development organizations, given the importance of the role they play in serving different groups of society.

Al-Sadi stressed the need for an integrated approach in supporting all sectors to help these organizations and maintain their presence in light of the tremendous challenges they face and the importance of the social, health, educational and other services they provide.

Al-Sadi added: “PIB’s sustainable social responsibility policy stresses the need to contribute to development and play an active role in community service, providing relief to our people, improving their living conditions and strengthening their resilience in light of the difficult circumstances they face, in line with the global sustainable development goals.”

PIB’s mission and vision focus on providing quality and modern Sharia-compliant banking solutions and investing in technology. PIB also has a digital transformation strategy, which led to the launch of pioneering digital services such as the 24-hour digital call center, Islami Online and Islami Mobile services. Such products and services provide a unique package of easy and safe banking services which enhance the digital experience for individual and corporate customers. The bank was recently awarded the 2022 “Best bank for providing Islamic banking services and products in Palestine” award by The Arab Bankers Association and “The Banking Executive” magazine.
