PIB and Northern Electricity Distribution Company seek to promote cooperation
The Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) and the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDC) discussed ways to enhance cooperation and promote joint projects.
In a meeting held at the company’s headquarters in Nablus, NEDC’s chairman, Eng. Iyad Khalaf, and General Manager, Eng. Asaad Sawalma, discussed new ways to promote cooperation with PIB’s General Manager, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, the Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Board, Dr. Alaa Razia, the Assistant General Manager for Branches, Zayed Shukair, the Director of the North District, Khitam Abu Aita and a number of branch and department managers.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Sadi congratulated Eng. Iyad Khalaf on his election as Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors, stressing the bank’s readiness to promote cooperation between the two sides to serve the Palestinian electrical sector. He pointed out the great importance of this sector as it affects the daily lives of citizens. Its continuous development will reflect on all areas of life, especially in light of the growing demand for electricity.
Al-Sadi added: "It is very important to enhance cooperation among private sector institutions and ensure their roles complement each other. This is key for the success of all development and construction efforts."
The mission and vision of PIB revolve around providing comprehensive high quality and modern banking solutions, following the provisions of the Islamic Sharia laws, and investment within an advanced technological perspective.
