PIB offers support to 23 educational institutions across Palestine

The Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) has supported 23 educational institutions in the various governorates of Palestine as part of its Sustainable Social Responsibility program.

The bank's support was to contribute to the provision of educational supplies, equipment and tools necessary for the teaching process. In fact, PIB representatives visited the beneficiary educational institutions, took note of their needs and discussed with their departments ways to further cooperation in order to enhance the educational services they provide.

PIB’s support included the Karama Basic School for Boys, the Aanin Primary School for girls in Jenin and the two primary schools of Aateel for girls and Pharaoun for boys in Tulkarem. In the Governorate of Nablus, the Bank provided its support to An-najah National University, Ali Khalil Hamad Primary School, Dr. Aqab Medhi School, the Council of Mothers of the Sera High School and the Model Rojib Kindergarten.

In the Ramallah Al-Bireh Governorate, the Bank supported the Hashemite High School in Al-Bireh, the Petunia Primary School for boys and girls, the Abu Falah and Al-Mughair schools for boys, as well as the Khaled bin Al-Walid Primary School for boys and girls in Jericho.

In Hebron, PIB provided support to The Technical University of Palestine-Khudouri, as well as the Sodqiya Abu Al-Dabaat School, the Safa Primary School for Girls, the Arab Girls High School, the Osman Bin Afan Primary School in Dhaheriya, the Abdul Qadir Al-Kadi Vocational Industrial High School in Surif, as well as the Girls of Al-Taamra High School in the governorate of Bethlehem.

In the Gaza Strip, the Bank supported the Al-Quds Open University, northern Gaza branch, as well as the Tal Al-Rubaiya Primary School in Beit Lahiya.

PIB General Manager Dr. Imad Al-Sadi said that the Bank devotes the bulk of its sustainable social responsibility program to supporting the education sector given its importance as the cornerstone for sustainable development.

Al-Sadi added that the Bank's support for the education sector includes various areas such as infrastructure development of educational institutions, construction and restoration of classrooms, and offering educational supplies and tools. He noted that PIB is also keen on supporting scientific research through its annual award for scientific research, which aims to encourage researchers to improve their research products and achieve authentic research that adds valuable input to our knowledge.

The mission and vision of PIB revolve around providing comprehensive high quality and modern banking solutions, following the provisions of the Islamic Sharia laws, and investment within an advanced technological perspective. It also sets a deliberate strategy to proceed with the digital transformation process, which resulted in launching pioneering digital services such as the 24-hour digital contact center, Islami Online, and Islami Mobile, which offer a distinctive package of banking services through an easy and secure environment that enhances the digital experience for its individual and corporate customers. PIB has also recently won "The Best Islamic Bank Award" and " The Best Digital Bank Award" in Palestine for the year 2021, according to International Business Magazine (INTLBM).
