A child from Rafah wins the first prize of the PIB “Saving22” campaign worth 222,000 Shekels

The Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) awarded the first cash prize of the “Saving22” campaign, with a value of 222,000 shekels, to the little winner Tuqa Mufleh Abu Athra, from the Rafah Governorate.

Abu Athra and her family were delighted that her account won the prize, stressing that it will help the child in building her future and achieving her ambitions.

A reception was organized for the winner and her family at the Rafah branch, in the presence of Dr. Maher Al-Hawli, member of the PIB Sharia Supervisory Board, Adnan Al-Fleet, Director of the Gaza District, and a number of branch and office managers, and local figures from the governorate.

PIB Director General, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, congratulated the winner and her family, expressing his hope that this reward would guarantee a good future for little Tuqa, especially by allowing her to complete her studies and fulfil her higher education ambitions.

Al-Sadi noted that the “Saving22” campaign is part of PIB’s efforts to strengthen the culture of saving among the community and to encourage customers to open savings accounts or develop their current accounts by offering special cash prizes worth more than 1,400,000 Shekel. He added that “the Saving2022 campaign will include monthly draws for grand prizes and dozens of other cash prizes, in order to encourage citizens to save money as a way to securely preserve their funds and make profits in line with Islamic Sharia rules and principles”.

Al-Sadi also thanked PIB’s customers for their trust in the products and services offered by the bank noting that their trust is what drives the bank forward towards developing more modern and distinguished product giving them an outstanding Islamic banking experience.

The campaign that is set to continue until the end of 2022 includes 9 draws for grand cash prizes of different values every month (182,000, 122,000, 222,000, 102,000, 152,000, 132,000, 162,000, 112,000 and 142,000 Shekel) in addition to 3 special draws in March, June and September to win 22 prizes of 500 USD each in every draw. All current and new customers may take part in the campaign by opening a savings account with 100 USD or more or its equivalent in other currencies, knowing that every additional deposit of 200 USD or its equivalent in other currencies grants the customer further chances of winning.

PIB savings accounts allow customers to receive returns calculated based on their average daily balance. Customers may also benefit from all banking services provided by PIB in line with the terms and conditions of each service.
