Palestine Islamic Bank Provides Support to the Red Crescent Society in Several Governorates

Palestine Islamic Bank provided its support to the Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in the governorates of Nablus, Hebron and Qalqilya, as part of its sustainable social responsibility program.

The Bank provided direct support to the activities of the PRCS and hospital in Nablus Governorate; whereas a delegation from PIB visited a number of its centers therein to oversee their conditions and the efforts exerted in order to provide the best health and community services to its citizens thereof.

In the same context, the Bank provided oxygen and medical equipment, and computers to the PRCS located in Sa'ir – Hebron and Hableh –Qalqilya. PIB also examined the needs of both Societies in order to enhance cooperation and improve health-related services in both towns and neighboring areas thereof; emphasizing the Bank’s commitment to support health institutions.

PIB General Manager Imad Alsadi said that the Bank attaches special importance to supporting the health sector, given its vital status in achieving sustainable development; keeping in mind the great challenges facing this sector, which have multiplied with the start of the Corona pandemic since 2020.

Moreover, Alsadi praised the efforts exerted by the PRCS, at all levels, including health, humanitarian and social levels. Since its inception in 1968, the Red Crescent has continued to carry out its duties in a manner intended to alleviate the suffering of our people in their various places of residence, in line with the ideals and values adopted by the Society thereof.

“We, at PIB, are glad of our partnership with the PRCS, known for its long history of accomplishments and achievements, which has never ceased to serve our people. Therefore, we believe that it is our duty to offer our full support towards helping this national institution”, added Alsadi.

On the other hand, representatives of the PRCS in the governorates of Nablus, Hebron and Qalqilya thanked the Bank for its continuous support, stressing PIB’s importance in organizing and advancing the level of services provided to citizens; while emphasizing the need for further cooperation between various sectors to support the health sector, especially in light of the difficult health conditions which have resulted due to the Corona pandemic.

Furthermore, PIB devotes the bulk of its social responsibility program to supporting the health and education sectors, due to their importance and the fact that they constitute a significant part of the global goals in terms of achieving sustainable development, which form the general framework of PIB’s social responsibility policy.
