Palestine Islamic Bank Supports Dura Municipality

Palestine Islamic Bank has provided support to the Municipality of Dura, as part of its continuous efforts to strengthen civil society institutions, and to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility.

The head of the southern area, Mr. Nizar Bally, and the manager of Dura office, Mr. Ismael Amairah; visited the municipality and met its director general Ahmad Salhoub, where the parties have discussed the means of cooperation and the municipality process of work.

Mr. Bally confirmed the bank determination to support local governance institutions to enhance the services provided to citizens, emphasizing the important of partnership between private and public sectors in boosting the development process.

Mr. Bally has also lauded the municipality role in facilitating the bank’s work in particular, and the banking sector operations in general, which contributes in achieving financial inclusion, by reaching citizens in different location and providing them with the banking services.

Mr. Salhoub expresses his appreciation to the support provided by the bank and its constant willingness to cooperate with municipalities and other parties for the public good, ensuring the municipality intent to establish further joint cooperation in the future.

The Bank operates since 1997 in compliance with the principles and rules of the Islamic Sharia, through the widest Islamic banking network in Palestine, that include 45 branches and offices and over 85 Automatic Teller Machines.
