Palestine Islamic Bank Honors Workers in Salfit
Palestine Islamic Bank honored the workers of the Joint Service Council for Solid Waste in Salfit in recognition of their efforts in protecting and caring for the environment.
The Bank honored the workers during the 26th Farkha International Festival in the presence and participation of HE President of the Environment Quality Authority, Adalah Al-Atira, Chairman of the Joint Services Council for Solid Waste, Abdul Karim Zubaidi, Chairman of Salfit Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fawaz Shehadeh and Representative of the Arab Agricultural Engineers Association, Ashraf Taha and the festival director Bakr Hammad as well as the heads of municipal and village councils and official and popular institutions. PIB, on the other hand, was represented by the Manager of Salfit Office Shawqi Abu Baker.
The Bank attaches great importance to partnership and cooperation with local institutions and authorities in order to provide better service to citizens; given the vital and influential role of such institutions which compels us to support and stand by them in overcoming any challenges which may be encountered thereof.
Since 2014, the Bank has been increasingly reliant on clean energy, and has operated 15 branches and offices with solar energy, reducing emissions in one year, equivalent to planting more than 2,000 square meters of trees. The Bank has also opted towards digitization and the opening of electronic communication channels with customers, which contributed to the reduction of the volume of paper consumed.
