Palestine Islamic Bank Donates to Aroub Secondary School
Palestine Islamic Bank made a donation to Aroub Secondary Girls’ School in Aroub Refugee Camp, south of Bethlehem.
To that effect, Hanan Ghannam, Bethlehem Branch Supervisor at PIB, visited the school, where she was received by the school principal Hanan Manasra, and a number of other teachers. The meeting emphasized the importance of cooperation between the institutions of the private and community sectors, in a manner intended to meet the needs of educational and other institutions.
“We believe that a proper education helps shape the future of our youth, therefore we make sure to dedicate sufficient support to the education sector within the scope of our Social Responsibility Program”, said PIB General Manager, Bayan Qasem; noting that, our interest in education comes within the Bank's strategic plan for its Social Responsibility Program.
Qasem further stressed the Bank’s keenness to facilitate the educational process through the introduction of a program to pay tuition fees via an instalment plan, thereby allowing the public access to educational services from a large number of educational institutions in Palestine; where tuition fees are paid via instalments and without any increase on the original fees. Such is done by activating the “Forward Ijarah” formula, which is a form of financing that is compliant with the principles of Islamic Shari'a, and which is approved by the Bank’s Shari'a Supervisory Board.
Moreover, Qasem praised the outstanding efforts of the teachers in promoting the level of education in Palestine; expressing his pride in the distinguished teaching staff, who are an essential part of our educational institutions.
