Palestine Islamic Signs an E-payment Agreement with the Northern Electricity Distribution Company
Palestine Islamic Bank has signed an e-payment agreement with the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCO), through which the Company’s subscribers will be able to pay their bills through the Bank’s different electronic channels.
The signing of the agreement took place at the NEDCO’s headquarters in Nablus in the presence of the company’s director Eng. Asaad Sawalmeh, the general manager of Palestine Islamic Bank Bayan Qassem, his deputy Emad Al-Saadi, and the assistant general manager of planning and development Assem Masri, in addition to a number of departments and branches managers from both parties.
Qassem praised the important role that NEDCO plays in providing electricity to citizens and the efforts they exert in order to ensure continued access to electricity without any impediments, and reduce the recurrence of electrical faults, as well as their continuous efforts to develop the network’s operations.
Moreover, Qassem said that this agreement will allow citizens to benefit from the services offered through Palestine Islamic Bank’s bundle of electronic services. These channels include the Bank’s internet banking services “Islami Online”, through which people will be able to pay their bills. Additionally, Qassem pointed out that the Bank’s electronic services also includes the “Islami Mobile” application, which can be used on smartphones, and “Islamic Auto” service which enables users to communicate with their accounts while using Facebook.
Qassem considered the signing of the e-payment agreement with NEDCO a new added value offered by the Bank to the users of its electronic services, which in its turn enhances its clients’ banking experience. Moreover, Qassem stressed on the fact that the Bank is employing all its efforts to expand the number of partnerships with institutions that provide direct services to citizens in order to facilitate public access to various services and provide easy and affordable financial solutions for payments.
On his part, the director of NEDCO praised Palestine Islamic Bank for its efforts, and praised the relationship between the Company and the Bank which he described as strategic relationship, asserting the Company’s tireless efforts to develop the electricity sector in the Northern areas, in order to ensure the provision of appropriate service to citizens.
