Palestine Islamic Bank Carries Out Volunteer Activities in Several Schools
In Preparation for the New School Year
Palestine Islamic Bank organized a series of volunteer activities in a number of schools across several governorates, with the participation of the Bank’s employees and in partnership with local community institutions, in preparation for the start of the new school year.
The volunteer activities included Al-Awda Girls School in Bethlehem, Biddya Primary Boys School in Salfit, and Abdel Majid Tayeh Primary Boys School in Tulkarem. The activities involved work on the schools’ facilities and surrounding areas, ranging from planting seedlings and painting sidewalks, pedestrian walkways, and walls to carrying out a number of maintenance works that help improve the appearance of the schools and the roads leading to them, while enhancing their readiness to welcome students at the beginning of the school year.
Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, General Manager of Palestine Islamic Bank, said that these activities come as part of the Bank’s annual volunteer work program across the various governorates of the country. He added that these efforts reaffirm that social responsibility is not limited to financial support, but also includes active participation in volunteer initiatives that leave a tangible impact on society.
Al-Sadi added: “In line with the continued guidance of the Bank’s Board of Directors and its Social Responsibility Committee, we assign great importance to supporting the education sector, as one of the most vital sectors. We are keen to develop it at various levels, whether through annual support or through volunteer work.”
Al-Sadi confirmed that this initiative is part of a series of volunteer activities that the Bank’s employees will carry out across various governorates during the coming period, in partnership with many local community institutions. He noted the Bank’s constant commitment to promoting a culture of volunteering among its employees, given its significant impact in strengthening their sense of belonging to their community and country.
