PIB Takes Part in the Third Global Islamic Economy Summit in Istanbul
Palestine Islamic Bank (PIB) participated in the Third Global Islamic Economy Summit held in Istanbul and organized by the AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy under the theme “Capital in Islamic Economics: Structuring Wealth for Sustainable Development.” The summit was attended by His Excellency Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Vice President of Türkiye, a number of ministers, officials, and experts specializing in Islamic economics and finance, as well as prominent economic and financial leaders and decision-makers from around the world.
PIB was represented at the summit by its General Manager, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, as part of a Palestinian delegation comprising several financial and economic leaders headed by His Excellency Mr. Yahya Shunnar, Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority. The event was also attended by His Excellency Mr. Nasri Abu Jaish, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Türkiye.
The summit, regarded as one of the world's leading events dedicated to Islamic economics and finance, addressed a range of issues, challenges, and opportunities related to advancing the Islamic economic system and strengthening its role in achieving sustainable development, supporting the real economy, fostering innovation and collaboration, and highlighting the latest developments and trends in Islamic banking and finance.
Dr. Imad Al-Sadi stated that PIB’s participation in the summit provided an important opportunity to gain insights into international best practices and experiences in Islamic finance and to explore avenues for cooperation with participating financial institutions. He noted that such engagements contribute to the development of banking services and products while reinforcing the Bank’s role in supporting economic and social development in Palestine.

Al-Sadi also expressed his pride in the distinguished Palestinian participation at the summit, which reflects the importance of the Islamic banking sector in Palestine, its active role in promoting sustainable development, and its ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships and cooperation with key stakeholders in the Islamic finance industry worldwide.
