PIB and Al-Bireh Municipality discuss joint cooperation
The Palestinian Islamic Bank (PIB) and Al-Bireh Municipality discussed ways to promote cooperation between them and find new areas for joint work.
This took place at a meeting held at the municipality’s headquarters in the presence of His Excellency the Mayor of Al-Bireh Islam Al-Taweel, the Director of the Administrative Department Muhammad Qar’an, and the Director of the Financial Department Rana Bani Odeh. PIB was represented by the General Manager Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, the Assistant General Manager for Banking Operations Hatem Arinat, the Director of the Central Region Abdullah Al-Masaeed, and a number of branch and department managers.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Sadi congratulated Mr. Islam Al-Taweel on becoming the mayor of Al-Bireh Municipality and wished him success in this endeavor. He stressed that PIB was committed to enhancing cooperation between the two sides to provide the best possible service to the city and its residents and finding new ways of working together to empower local institutions, especially in the city of Al-Bireh, so they can serve all groups. He noted the important role played by Al-Bireh Municipality in developing infrastructure and raising the quality of services provided to citizens in all areas despite the various challenges.
Dr. Al-Sadi also stressed the importance of cooperation between PIB and the municipality to promote digital transformation and encourage citizens to use technology to meet their daily needs through electronic transactions.
For his part, Al-Taweel welcomed the General Manager of PIB, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi and his delegation and stressed the importance of expanding the partnership between the bank and the municipality on the one hand, and local community institutions on the other, to improve the quality and volume of services provided to citizens. He also highlighted the importance of the banking sector in supporting local community institutions through social responsibility programs to improve the services provided and expand their reach.

PIB also has a digital transformation strategy, which led to the launch of pioneering digital services such as the 24-hour digital call center, Islami Online and Islami Mobile services. The bank was recently awarded the 2022 “Best bank for providing Islamic banking services and products in Palestine” award by The Arab Bankers Association and “The Banking Executive” magazine.
