Palestine Islamic Bank’s operations are guided by a team of executives with extensive professional banking expertise and robust leadership; working in accordance with internationally accepted best practices in the banking sector following standards of efficiency and integrity, commitment and transparency.

The Bank's senior management structure consists of the General Manager, his Deputy and Assistants to GM.

Bayan Qasem

General Manager

Mr. Qasem holds an Executive Masters Degree in business administration from the American University in Beirut, Lebanon and a graduate diploma in systems analysis from the University of Saarbrücken-Germany. Mr. Qasem worked for several years with Arthur Andersen Global Investments which he followed up with a position as a consultant for a number of high profile companies in the Gulf. He was then appointed as General Manager of the Palestine Islamic Bank in 2013.

Imad Al-Sadi

Deputy GM

Mr. Saadi holds a master’s degree in banking and financial management from M.S UNIVERSITY – INDIA and a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

He started his career in banking in 1993 with Bank of Palestine. In 2007, he joined Palestine Islamic Bank as the Regional Director of Branch Networks, after that he worked as the GM Assistant for Branches. He is a member of the Board of Directors at Takaful Insurance functioning as the representative of Palestine Islamic Bank on the board.

He is also a former lecturer at the Arab American University in Jineen. Lecturer and a former trainer of banking sector employees at the Palestinian Banking Institute.

Khitam Ali Abu Aita

Director of the Northern District

Mrs. Abu Aita holds a master’s degree in business management. She joined the banking sector in 1996, working first with the Arab Bank where she served in high ranking positions in marketing and product development. Mrs. Abu Ayta joined Palestine Islamic Bank in 2010 as a manager for public relations, planning and development, before becoming Manager at Al-Muntazah Branch.

Mrs. Abu Ayta worked with several local institutions as a consultant for local business development. In addition, she worked in the ICT sector with Jawwal and participated in many international conventions and conferences.

Rae’q Sakeb Omar

Director of Central District

Mr. Omar holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Annajah National University. He worked as an audit and tax consultant in Jerusalem. In 1998 he began working at the Cairo Amman Bank as Deputy Director of a branch. From 1999-2010 Mr. Omar worked with Al-Aqsa Islamic Bank as Al-Bireh branch manager then joined the Palestine Islamic Bank as Director of Al-Bireh branch, before transitioning to the Al-Masyoun branch.

Nizar Fadel Bali

Director of Southern District

Mr. Bali holds a bachelor’s degree in economics. He worked as an administrative and financial manager in several private sector companies before joining Cairo Amman Bank in 1998 in the Islamic Transactions Department. In 2009 he started working at the Palestine Islamic Bank as a manager for the Bethlehem Branch then moved to the Hebron Branch. He obtained many specialized international certificates, including the Islamic Finance Qualification Certificate (IFQ) and is also a Certified Lender Business Banker (CLBB). Mr. Bali is a volunteer and trainer in the field of self-improvement and sustainable development.
