The board of directors consists of 10 members; 2 of which are independent members, where each member fulfils all conditions of membership with an elected member owning not less than 10,000 shares of the bank.


Mr. Maher Masri

Mr. Maher Nash`at  Masri – Chairman - Representative of Palestine Investment Fund (PIF):

Mr. Masri holds a BA and MA degree in economics from the American University of Beirut. He worked as an economist in Lebanon, UK, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Palestine. In 1996, he was elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council (Parliament) and later served as Minister of National Economy till 2005. As a Minister, he chaired the Palestinian Investment Promotion Agency (PIPA), Palestine Standards Institution (PSI) and Palestinian Industrial Estates and Free Zone Authority (PIEFZA).He was the Chairman of Palestine Capital Markets Authority from 2006 till 2014. Presently he is a member of the board of the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) and the Palestine Stock Exchange.


Mr. Rafiq AL-Natsheh

Mr. Rafiq Shaker AL-Natsheh – Deputy Chairman - Representative of the Foundation of Orphans Funds Development & Administration

Mr. Al-Natsheh holds a BA degree from The Lebanese University, pre MA courses from the University of Cairo and pre PhD studies from Moscow University.

Presently, he heads the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission as well as the Chairman of the Foundation of Orphans Funds Development & Administration. Previously, he was the Palestinian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, minister of labor, minister of agriculture and speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council.


Mr. Abdelhamid Al-Abwah

Mr. Abdel Hamid Fayez Al Abwah – Board Secretary - Representative of ASWAQ Company for Investment Portfolios

Mr. Al Abwah holds a BA degree in accounting from Birzeit University, and an MA degree in accountancy from George Washington University, Washington, DC.

Presently he is the chief audit executive at Palestine Investment Fund in charge of the internal audit and risk management functions. He has over 20 years of experience in auditing and management consultancy services with the leading international accounting firms, locally and internationally.

Abed is a Canadian Chartered Accountant “CA”, a US Certified Public Accountant “CPA”, a Certified Internal Auditor “CIA”, and a Certified Information System Auditor ”CISA”.


Mr. Mazen Sinokrot

Mazen (Mohammad Tawfiq) Sinokrot – Representative of ASWAQ Company for Investment Portfolios

Mr. Sinokrot holds a BSC in industrial engineering and production management from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom (1980). He is a founding member of the Sinokrot Group and a major promoter of the Public/Private partnership in Palestine. Previously, he served as chairman of the federation of industries, chairman of Palestine Trade Center (Paltrade), as well as minister of National Economy during the period 2005 until 2006. Presently, he serves on the boards of foundations that promote youth development and social responsibility, and is a member of the board of trustees of Al Quds University, and Palestine Investment Fund (PIF).


Dr. Mahmoud Abu Al-Rub

Mahmoud Farid Abu Al-Rub – Representative of Palestine Investment Fund (PIF):

Dr. Abu Al-Rub holds an MA and PhD degree in economics from Berlin University – Germany. He has a long teaching experience as an academic and administrative member at Al-Najah National University. He served as Dean of Economics Faculty during 1992 – 1996. He served as a head of the State Audit and Administrative Control Bureau from 2006 – 2010.


Dr. Salem Abu Khaizaran

Salem Mustafa Abu Khaizaran – Representative of Razan Medical Center:

Dr. Abu Khaizaran holds an MD from Alexandria University and later specialized in Gynecology from British Royal College. He is a major shareholder and the general manager of Razan Medical Center; chairman of the Istishari Arab Hospital as well as chairman of Specialized Arab Hospital since 1999. He is a board member of Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company since 2010.


DR. MAJED AL-HELO

Dr. Majed Atta Al-Helo - Representative of  Minority Shareholders 

Dr. Al-Helo holds a PhD in Law from Abed Almalek Alsaady University, Morocco. He served as a legal advisor for State Audit and Administrative Control Bureau during 1996 – 1999 and assistant undersecretary at Palestine Pension Authority 1999-2013. He also serves as board member and deputy chairman at the Foundation of Orphans Funds Development & Administration and member of many local institutions boards. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Palestine Pension Authority with the rank of a minister.


Dr. Anis Al-Hajjeh

Anis Ahmad Al-Hajjeh – Independent Member:

Dr Al- Hajjeh holds a BA degree in business administration and economics from Birzeit University, an MA and PhD degree in business administration from the USA. He is currently a faculty member at the School of Business and Economics at Birzeit University. He was an adjunct faculty at New York University and Fairleigh Dickinson University in the United States. Dr. Al- Hajjeh served as general manager for the Commercial Bank of Palestine and Palestine Investment Bank, Regional Manager for the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance, VP at Arab Bank New York, and Head of Credit and Administration at the Offshore Banking Unit, Arab Bank Bahrain. He served as consultant and board member in many organizations and advisor to Palestine Monetary Authority during its establishment. Dr. Al- Hajjeh is an accredited arbitrator in banking and finance.


Mr. Salah Al-Daghma

Salah Fayez Al-Daghma – Private Investor:

Mr. Al Daghma holds a BA degree in literature from Beirut Arab University. He served as head of tenders and procurement department of Abu Dhabi government for 20 years. He also served as general manager of Sheikh Zayed Institute. He is a business man with many business ventures in the area, particularly in the UAE. He is the owner of Dadco Export – Import Company in Germany.


Prof. Dr. Ali Abu Zuhri

Dr. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri – Independent Member:

Prof. Abu Zuhri holds a PhD degree from Assiut University, Egypt 1976 in Analytical Chemistry. He served as a minister of education and a minister of transportation.

He was president of Al-Aqsa University, Gaza (2003-2009). He occupied different academic positions at An- Najah University and the United Arab Emirates University. In 2015, he was appointed as a President for the Arab American University, Jenin. Palestine.
